The objective of Mending the Soul is to experience healing from the devastating effects of brokenness and abuse. Participating in a group means working through a Biblical path of healing in a safe environment using a workbook and text book designed for this process. This journey is meant to lift the heavy weights off our souls that we can truly engage God, ourselves and others with new-found freedom and joy.
A typical Mending the Soul gathering is a group of 4-5 people of the same gender gathering weekly for 2 hours to walk with one another through the discoveries made in that week’s homework (MTS is a mutual journey of healing and not a counseling session). The length of this study is approximately 12 weeks. This is an intense study and will necessitate careful consideration concerning when to engage the difficult areas of your life and who to call on for prayer and emotional support in the process.
Mending the Soul requires trained facilitators and is making every effort to raise up leadership in order to have spaces available for those who are interested. If you are interested in being in a Mending the Soul group, please contact Pastor Kalib at the church office. This will get you into the process of discerning if this group is right for you, filling out introductory forms, and being contacted when space is available in a group.
