The mission of the Children’s Ministry is to challenge each child toward a vibrant growing relationship with Jesus.
A normal Children’s Service involves meaningful lessons and Biblical truths that children can apply to their everyday life. We are very purposeful in choosing our curriculum for the students age 2 through 6th grade. We begin by acquainting the preschool children with God’s power and His Holy Word. The Old Testament series introduces children to God’s loving character. The New Testament series guides them to a personal friendship with Jesus. The Kindergartners learn about the godly heroes and heroines in the Bible and discover that Jesus was and is the special hero who fulfilled God’s plan to rescue people and save the world. The elementary children are equipped for Christian service and learn to build upon the foundation of knowledge and skills previously learned.
Harvest Bible Chapel is a discipling church and we believe discipleship starts with our children. We want to help encourage and equip parents to help develop that discipleship.
We foster friendship among the students to encourage Christ-like love towards one another for support, encouragement, and growth. Children have time each week to work together, pray for one another, and participate in meaningful activities.
The Children’s Ministry also periodically provides service projects so the children have an opportunity to use their unique gifts and talents to serve others. We encourage our children to have a heart for missions, allowing the children to partner with our missionaries through care packages, writing letters, or even meeting and hearing from the missionaries when they are in town. We also provide special events and training for teachers and volunteers.
